Model Mayhem ICT is an annual freestyle charity runway show in Wichita that gives the platform for all creatives to showcase their artistry in the form of makeup and body paint applications, hair styling and design, fashion design, food innovation from featured chefs, dance, poetry, art, acting, music, photography, film and much more!
While expressing our inner artist, we raise awareness and funds for local charities in need while learning the stories from the once unspoken, this tremendous collaboration puts the message into art forms to present a show that you will ever forget.
The early stages of fashion show production are always the most exciting, meeting the client, understanding their needs and desires, collaborating on concepts and getting the creative gears moving.
This year Model Mayhem ICT runway show did not disappoint with the collaboration of local artists. Each individual model represented many artists coming together to showcase this years theme. Model Mayhem ICT and supporters came together this year to showcase
Equality and Female Empowerment.
Many designers took the role of creating an all inclusive concept and bringing the strength of the model out. Each step was a crucial element to creating Model Mayhem 2019.
This year and following years to come, we will be fundraising for community charities to give back to those in need in our beloved ICT!
This years' 2019 chosen organization is Mayflower Clinic.
Mayflower Clinic was established by a group of successful immigrant professionals from all over the world who chose Kansas as their home and wished to give back to the community, the impetus for this desire was the economic downturn of 2009, where thousands of workers were laid off work and found themselves without health insurance and needed medical care Since 2009, we have provided high-quality health care services to Wichita residents and surrounding communities.
If you know anyone needing a doctor please contact Mayflower Clinic @ 316.558.3991
Model Mayhem ICT also raised donations for a local musician that suffered injuries recently in the Wichita arts community. Funds were raised to help Jenny Wood with her daily living expenses and as well as medical bills.
The voices that rang through to the audiences ears spoke volumes on raising above others, staying true to yourself and finding strength in the toughest of times.
The amount of art in one building loudly showed the exact message Model Mayhem ICT strived to showcase .
The start of the show started months and weeks before the show date. Many additions and creative sessions took place to make the vision come to life.
I hope you enjoy this collection form the event and we can’t wait to see you next year!
